An ancient, extinct volcano, and the second highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kenya rises an impressive 5,199 metres or 17,058 feet above the sea level and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mount Kenya’s snow-capped summits and forested slopes easily stand as one of the most impressive landscapes in East Africa.

The UNESCO Site also includes the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve, which are connected by the traditional Elephant migration route, treating visitors to some major wildlife viewing including elephants, leopards, Sykes moneys, black rhinos, and hyenas.

So whether you opt for an easy climb, or a more technical ascent, this mountain offers stunning vistas and a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
