Explore the world-renowned north-east corner of Tanzania with this 6 day itinerary that takes you on a wild game viewing journey in a dramatic setting of ancient volcanic craters and the Maasai steppe of endless plains.

Starting in the charming city of Arusha, this safari circuit takes you through the scenic beauty of Lake Manyara, into the endless plains of the Serengeti, and culminating in Africa’s Garden of Eden: the lush landscape of the truly stunning Ngorongoro, the largest volcanic caldera in the world.

Day 1: Arusha - Lake Manyara

Depart from Arusha after lunch for Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive through dense woodlands and steep mountainsides alongside the soda lake, arriving at your lodge as the sun begins to set . Enjoy drinks, dinner, and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 2: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park

As the sun rises over the scenic and quiet landscape of Lake Manyara National Park, set out on a morning game drive in this surreal setting, where the lake’s shores are forever encrusted with pink flamingo and the trees provide shelter for the park’s iconic tree-climbing lions.

After lunch, head for the vast and golden plains of the Serengeti, a land unlike any other where lions roam freely, wildebeest graze, and the crocodile and hippo filled rivers offer visitors plenty of drama!

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Today, experience the adventure of a lifetime when you set out to explore what the Maasai call ‘Siringitu’ - a place where the land moves on forever. Your first encounter with the Serengeti will never be forgotten, whether it’s due to its awe-inspiring vastness, or the fact that it’s teeming with hundreds of animals, all following the ancient rhythm of Africa’s wild.

At dusk, your exploration of this paradise ends and you’ll return to your camp for sundowners, dinner, and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, enjoy one last escapade out in the golden plains of the Serengeti before departing for Ngorongoro. You will travel deep into the ‘Cradle of Mankind,’ the Olduvai Gorge, where the remains of the earliest humans were found, before heading to your lodge.

Head on to the Ngorongoro crater rim and enjoy the beauty of this truly magnificent and ancient caldera. An evening at leisure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Set out for a full day of exploration of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, also known as Tanzania’s Garden of Eden. Enjoy the sunrise over the rim, before joining in the real action on the crater floor below, your day will be filled by a constant stir of wildlife and stunning scenes.

Following a picnic lunch under the yellow fever trees, continue your exploration of the crater into the afternoon, you’ll return to your lodge for sundowners, dinner, and overnight.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Arusha, arriving into the city in time for lunch.
