Day 1: Dar-es-Salaam - Selous Game Reserve

Depart Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, early in the morning, traveling through the Morogoro town, perfectly framed by the Uluguru mountains. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch.

Take a late-afternoon boat ride along the meandering Rufiji River, the beating heart of this reserve, which is animated by the calls and activity of hippo, crocodile, and a myriad of other wildlife gathered at its banks. As the sun sets along the river, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Selous Game Reserve

From the very first moment you awaken in Selous, you’ll experience the savannah and witness the true majesty of the African wilderness as you set out to explore its varied terrain and abundant wildlife. Stop for a picnic lunch and enjoy the dizzying array of sights this African paradise has to offer.

As the sun casts a warm evening glow across the waters of the Rufiji River, you’ll soak in the thrill of the bush in action, before returning to your lodge for drinks, dinner, and another overnight stay.

Day 3: Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast, your guide will take you on an intimate walking safari, where you’ll get to experience the true rhythm of the African bush. Take in the fresh scent of this remote miombo woodland, spot a leopard lazing in the shady boughs of a fig tree, and truly become one with nature during this unforgettable experience.

After lunch, set out once more on the Rufiji River, whose waters are teeming with life from feisty crocodiles and hippos, to other wildlife congregating at its banks at sunset. Return to your lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 4: Selous Game Reserve - Dar-es-Salaam

After breakfast, depart for Dar-es-Salaam with a picnic lunch, arriving into the city by the evening.
