Day 1: Bandaranaike International Airport - Colombo Hotel

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a local representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Spend your day exploring what was once called ‘The Garden City of the East’. A sprawling, exciting city, Colombo is a worthy destination in its own right and makes an excellent start to your Sri Lankan adventures.

Day 2: Colombo - Kandy

You’ll begin your day with a drive to the beautiful city of Kandy, the heart of Sri Lanka and once the capital of the ancient kings. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to take breaks for refreshments and photography.

Upon arrival, spend the rest of the day leisurely exploring the country’s most significant cultural and religious centres which offers incredible sights from tropical forests to tea plantations.

Day 3 - Kandy

Today, you can enjoy a full day city tour of Kandy including a visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and the sacred temple of the tooth relic. Thereafter, you will be taken to enjoy a cultural show before returning to your hotel.

Spend the rest of the day as you please, whether it’s exploring the Dalada Maligawa Museum, the Udawattakele Forest Reserve, or taking a stroll around Kandy Lake.

Day 4: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Today, you will drive from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, on what is the most scenic highland motor road of Sri Lanka. Along the way, you’ll break for refreshments and photography.

Upon arrival, spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring this little town often referred to as ‘Little England’ thanks to its colonial-era bungalows, Tudor-style hotels, and pretty gardens. The town’s mountainous terrain also provides numerous hiking possibilities.

Day 5 - Nuwara Eliya

You’ll begin the day by visiting one of Nuwara Eliya’s famous tea plantations and factories, after which you can spend the day exploring the town, which is filled with beautiful lakes, parks, and mountains.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya - Bentota

This morning, begin your 4 hour ride from Nuwara Eliya to the coastal town of Bentota, a place graced by palm trees and a serene atmosphere. Along the way, you’ll break for photography and refreshments.

Upon arrival, spend the day at your leisure. You can choose to relax along the golden stretch of sand or engage in exciting activities such as diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, deep-sea fishing, or blue whale watching.

Day 7: Bentota - Colombo

Check out of your Bentota hotel and begin your 90 minute drive back to Colombo. Upon arrival, the day is free to spend it how you wish. From the Independence Memorial Hall to Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple and Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, this city offers no shortage of delights.

Day 8: Bandaranaike International Airport

You’ll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
