Day 1: Entebbe - Kihihi - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Catch an early morning flight from Entebbe International Airport, Uganda, to Kihihi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge in Bwindi National Park. For the rest of the day, enjoy the mystical scenery, dramatic landscapes, forest birds, sounds, and variety of activities, surrounded by the stunning views of the Virunga Mountains.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

Early breakfast before driving to the Park’s headquarters for a Gorilla trekking briefing. Enter the thick green jungle and trek through mist and dense forest on your way to finding where the family of gorillas probably last nested (where they slept the night) then track them from there.

Uganda’s mountain gorillas are mesmerizing to watch: youngsters chase each other and swing in trees, vines, and mums dote on their infants, as the awe-inspiring silverback (male) watches over them all. For conservation purposes, the time allowed with them is one hour. After which you’ll clamber out of the thicks of the forest, return to your lodge and reminisce on your close encounters with these truly beautiful endangered beasts. Dinner, and overnight stay.

Optional Activity: Afternoon village walk

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Entebbe

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Kihihi airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe, arriving approximately midday.
